This week my boyfriend and I took his little lab to the dog
park for the first time. It felt like taking our child to the first day of preschool. He wouldn't leave our side at first, but by the second day he ran right in and mingled with all the other cute pooches. After our adventure we took a long walk around town and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at an adorable cafe. During this month we also took a jaunt down to Los Angeles to explore the Jurassic Museum of Technology. This is pretty much a museum housing all kinds of curiosities like microscopic mosaics of flower arrangements made from butterfly wings! On the more disturbing side there is a 6 inch horn which supposedly grew out of a woman's head in the 18th century.
.::. Painted my nails with O.P.I's "Did it On 'Em" from the Nicki Minaj Collection. It makes me think of 1970's tupperware
.::. Our little labby man Bruce a.k.a Bruiser at the dog park being very shy.
.::. I live near a very quaint college town with tons of craftsman and Victorian homes. Everyone here keeps their front yard picture perfect and I love it!
.::. At the cafe having a light breakfast and a Mexican Mocha. My favorite part!
.::. The Jurassic Museum had an awesome rooftop garden with a hidden aviary which housed doves.
.::. Peeking out onto the rooftop garden. This museum felt like a little whimsical discovery at every turn. The top floor led to a tea room where a quiet Russian girl served patrons tea while her little dog Tula greeted each of us. This garden was just outside the tea room and it was such a stark difference from the museum. It was beautiful.
